Will We Ever Have Holodecks?

If you have seen any of the incarnations of Star Trek, then you are probably familiar with the concept of a "holodeck". 

For those not familiar with the term, a holodeck is basically a room that can simulate different environments as holograms, but the holograms feel nearly real. 

So how in the world could we possibly make a hologram that you can touch and feel? With sound, that is how.
